Climate campaign created for British Council

We helped launch The British Council’s climate programme. Developing a messaging platform and prioritising with the main
stakeholders in Mexico, Argentina, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Bangladesh and the UK.  With up to 200,000 monthly visitors to the new Climate4Classrooms site and 17,000 pupils in Bangladesh entering a postcard competition, the programme targets were met. We also provided messaging for Cop 15, 16 and 17 and for the Climate Express travelling from Cape Town, engaging with over 2 million people on its way to Cop 17 in Durban.

The project received support from Prime Minister David Cameron visiting one of 500 schools involved in China saying “the British Council has a fantastic programme in Chinese schools trying to encourage children to think about the environment”.  The Director of Marketing said of our work; “The British Council appreciated the way stakeholders were at the heart of all thinking … GBM quickly understood the main issues and developed a great strategy”.
